A collection of Poetry from Kayla West, created since high school through to University. Poetry ranges from imagery to expressed thoughts.

I've done many poems while on hiatus from book writing here on Bookrix. I went to a poetry slam with some of these and they are my best work known so far. They are posted as is hence the title. I hope you enjoy reading these as much as I enjoyed writing them.

During our self- described “trip of a lifetime,” from January 17, 2001 to April 20, 2001, we drove from Woodstock, down the east coast to Key West, Florida, then north again and west through the Florida panhandle, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada, visited our friends (the ones that started this whole thing) in California and then returned east on a different route home. We stayed overnight in parking lots, trailer parks or homes of friends and relatives,

A poem about the father of grunge, the late and great Kurt Cobain. The title is what his original stage name was.

I was inspired to write this spiritual poem about Angels and their purpose.
